Lockdown 3 is different to Lockdown 1 for the property market: in March 2020, everything just stopped, but as I write with the new lockdown having just started, the government has announced that the property market is to keep going as normal – well, as normal as it can be.
Here is an excerpt from the guidelines:
“There are further reasonable excuses [for leaving home]. For example, you may leave home to fulfil legal obligations or to carry out activities related to buying, selling, letting or renting a residential property, or where it is reasonably necessary for voting in an election or referendum.”
…which means that you can go on viewings, we can visit you to provide sale and/or rental valuations, and your property can go on the market.
Naturally, we all have to take precautions, but we can discuss the finer details when we speak with you.
So, our offices are still open usual hours from 9am to 6pm.
Many of our properties also offer video, virtual and/or WhatsApp tours.
