Nikki Ackerley - Award-winning journalist
...was the property correspondent of the Surrey Advertiser, a post she held for just over eight years, and was winner of the Laing Homes Property Writer's Award for Regional Newspapers in 1995. Prior to that, her original training was in public relations working for IPC Magazines on titles such as Woman's World and Ideal Home magazine.
During the last few years she has built up her own public relations company in tandem with her freelance work for the Surrey Advertiser. Initially a one-woman band working from home as Nikki Ackerley Public Relations, she has now moved into offices in Byfleet as Property House Media & Marketing Ltd where she is Managing Director with a staff of six. The company acts as public relations consultants to a selection of national and local housebuilders, architects, developers and estate agents.
Nikki has three sons and lives in Woking.
